RAMADAN 2009

 Ramadan is a month of fasting and is considered by Muslims to be the holiest month of the year. This page is dedicated to Ramadan events at Stanford University.

  ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Daily Iftars will be held at Various Places This Year due to Ramadan falling partly out of the school year. From 28th of August till 14th of September Iftar will be at the 3rd floor Common Room at the Old Union. There will be no ISSU Iftars before the 28th of August

 

  • We will pray Maghrib, Isha and Tarawih at The Sanctuary at the old union (Same place as Jummah prayer). Taraweeh/Isha  will start at 9:30 PM initially. Only for the Night of the 18th Of September Tarawih Will be held at Bechtel International Center.
     

  • Suhoor will also take place at the 3rd floor old union common room starting the 27th of August

  • Help the Ramadan program by volunteering.
